Aberdeen - Drilling Accountant - Mobiles

Salary up to £43,000 depending on expereince (+excpetional benefits)

Purpose of Job
The role will have responsibility for the provision of a full accounting support service for the the Client's Operated mobile rig drilling activity. This includes the supervision of 1/2 Direct Reports depending on drilling activity changes.
Will proactively assist the Team Lead in ensuring the entire service delivery in this area.


Main Accountabilities

Plan and supervise the ongoing provision of a full accounting support to the Mobile Drilling activity set.
Recommend, agree and implement process improvements ensuring workable solutions to all activities surrounding drilling accounting.
Set/recommend quality control and associated procedures surrounding drilling accounting and business change needs ensuring continuity in processes for the drilling community.
Manage the timely completion and approval of all activities associated with Cost Management, Well Reviews and associated Audit presentation for client Wells - Mobile Drilling activity.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all activities of Mobile Drilling accounting comply with Quality Control requirements.
Produce and deliver presentations, as required and full reports to timetable.
Assist Team Lead in managing recruitment process, including conducting interviews.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Client Drilling, Materials, SCM, Logistics and Control staff to ensure optimum service delivery.

Dimensions / Targets


Position reports to the Wells, Subsea & Projects Team Lead
Responsible for 1/2 direct reports, with total onshore team size of 9 - 6 in Wells, including Team Lead, 2 in Subsea and 1 in Projects.
In addition, there are 4 offshore personnel in the Wells area.
The role will be based in the Client office in Dyce.
Delivery of a "no surprises" cost environment relating to monthly reporting.
Work with the wider Accenture teams (onshore & offshore), encouraging knowledge sharing and promoting best practice.
Meet or exceed target service deliverables within the SLA and contract.
Provide coaching and support to Team Members
Ensure Well Reviews adhere to SOAP requirements resulting in good Audit conclusions with minimal monetary/procedural findings
