Retail DMS/Marketing Architect-Manager - Location Negotiable Job

Retail DSM/Marketing Architect
The successful candidate will work on a largely independent basis but will report to Accenture's 'Retail Business Solutions' foundation offering group, which is responsible for the standardization, industrialization and internal knowledge sharing of Accenture's global retail utilities practice.
Specifically, the Retail DSM/Marketing Architect will play a critical role in helping to further refine and formalize Accenture's point of view and offerings as it relates to the retail side of AMI/Smart Grid work that we engage in with our clients, globally. The Solution Architect will be responsible for providing functional and technical support and advice to sales and delivery teams and must be able to travel globally and extensively.
Using his/her detailed knowledge of Demand Side Management strategies, techniques and technologies, the Retail DSM/Marketing Architect will be made available on a part time basis to support primarily AMI/SMI engagements at all stages of the project lifecycle - from proposal through to completion. It is likely that there will be several different engagements occurring concurrently at any one point in time, requiring effective time management.
That support will include, but will not be limited to:
- Planning and estimating the retail/customer-specific portions of large scale AMI/SMI projects
- Advising sales and delivery teams on Demand Side Management products and functionality, and be able to offer advice on key project functional and technical decisions, either at the proposal or implementation stages
- Support the design of systems and enhancements as it relates to DSM processes and offerings.
In addition to this project support role, the Retail DSM/Marketing Architect will be expected to play a key role in identifying and developing DSM-related assets, to strengthen Accenture's position in the marketplace. This includes:
- Championing the re-use of tools and techniques from project to project
- Playing a key role in the development of communications, marketing and related materials
Monitoring DSM-related techniques and technologies in the marketplace, including new entrants and the evolution of established players
The Retail DSM/Marketing Architect has a strong background in the utilities industry, and has significant experience in Demand Side Management, both pre and post-smart grid/AMI. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of demand response programs, techniques and technologies, from the marketing of conservation-related campaigns through to technology that can be used to control energy consumption in the home or business. Previous experience as an industry analyst or in a utilities company is a plus. Prior experience in leading teams/ leadership role is not required as this role is a technical expert position.
Basic
·5 years of extensive experience in the retail utilities industry
·3 years working in the area of Demand Response Management.
·Experince with the following:
·Customer segmentation
·Sales, marketing and campaigns management, focused on energy efficiency and conservation
·Customer channel/contact management, including web strategies
·Product pricing and rate plans, designed to influence customer consumption patterns
·In home technologies, including In-Home Displays, web portals, programmable thermostats, load control devices (on water heaters, pool pumps etc)
·Communications protocols (e.g. zigbee) .
·Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team
·Strong professional presence
·3 years experience implementing and using CRM solutions to market products and campaigns to utility customers, including experience segmenting customers for effective targeting of said campaigns
