Job Title: Database Administrator

Service Delivery professionals are responsible for providing service delivery across the breadth of offerings such as accounting, information technology, application development and maintenance, helpdesk services, procurement, learning and training, and human resources. The work that is performed by our delivery professionals may serve one or more clients concurrently and they may be located directly at a client site or within our global delivery network.

People within Infrastructure Outsourcing are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (e.g. information systems, security systems, and telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies.

The Database Administrator is Responsible for providing database administration support for multiple database vendors and multiple hardware platforms.

Key

Responsibilities:

· Respond to all requests from project team, client users, project leads, Senior Database Administrators, and the Database Manager in a timely fashion

·Respond to trouble tickets communicated via pager, phone call, or ticketing tool

·Perform daily database monitoring / maintenance checklist as directed by project lead including executing and analyzing database "perf" and "struct" scripts

·Perform database extent checks and add extend database as needed

·Perform standard database operations as directed by project lead, including exports, imports, table restorations, and reorganizations

·Perform database installs/upgrades as directed by project lead

·Perform and/or verify success of project defined Start and stop application, database, and server(s) as scheduled and/or on request of project lead

·Strive to expand DBA knowledge through training and hands on experience with the goal of obtaining skills necessary to become an Oracle Certified Associate (or equivalent skills for other DB platforms)

·Understand and follow DBA team guidelines set forth in the "DBA Team Guide" document.

Basic

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

·

Minimum of 3 years - DBA experience in either SQL or Oracle product set

·

SQL MCP or Oracle Certified Professional

·

US Citizenship Required

Preferred Skills:

·

ITIL understanding or Foundation

·

5 years experience in the workplace
