Systems Integration Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance.
Industry Applications professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs.
Resources Industry Applications professionals analyze, design, build, test and deploy innovative Resources industry-specific solutions -- including solutions for the Chemicals, Natural Resources, Energy and Utilities industries -- that enable industry standards and processes.
Utilities: Transmission and Distribution Consultants are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance. Geospatial Information System (GIS) Consultants play mission critical roles in implementing and configuring GIS products for some of the world's most respected utility companies.
Key responsibilities may include:
Shaping and leading programs that translate process application and/or integration shortfalls into transformation programs/projects
Articulating application and integration strategy and architecture point of view and thought leadership for business solutions
Envisioning new and innovative approaches and predicting probable business outcomes
Establishing total cost of ownership metrics for actual impacts of application implementation
Influencing client direction based on application design and architecture
Defining solution architecture
Shaping and leading large-scale application design and architecture activities
Establishing acceptance of designs with client executives
Translating and conveying impact of process and system changes to bottom line
Shaping and leading large scale application build, test, and deploy activities
Assessing and managing risk and issues throughout all aspects of the application implementation
Extensive travel to clients' locations
Basic
Qualifications:
7 years experience with GIS implementation (specifically ESRI ArcGIS products) including core and application product configuration and customization (e.g., ArcInfo, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Server)
Utility industry experience
Previous experience with a large professional service organization
Bachelors degree
Preferred Skills
Application development experience (e.g., ArcObjects and ArcGIS Server) using C#.net
Systems integration experience (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS)
Transmission and or Distribution Utility application configuration (i.e., ArcFM configuration)
ESRI Geodatabase design and configuration including object / data model principles
Recent GIS implementation experience with knowledge and background in the following:
Implementing ESRI ArcGIS software products and tools (i.e., preferably ArcGIS v. 9)
Implementing and configuring ArcFM
Experience in enterprise-scale GIS implementation projects
EAI and traditional integration with other Applications (e.g., Work Management, Document Management, Graphical Work Design, Customer Information System, Outage Management, EMS, Distribution Planning, etc)
QA / QC tool development and or configuration
Strong interest in collaborative work with clients
