Job Description


The General Accounting Service Specialist is a member of the leadership of APSSC accounting service team, providing financial transaction processing and accounting support to clients in APAC. It is responsible for the management, coordination and delivery of one or several aspects of general ledger, fixed assets accounting, Cash Application, Inter Company Billing in accordance with USGAAP, local GAAP and Accenture Policy as well as Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

·Co-coordinating of the day to day activities, prioritizing of tasks and balancing workload amongst the teams

·Ensure all Service Level Agreements are met as per the contractual obligations

·Ensure adequate internal process controls are put in place at quality levels

·Ensure all customer / client queries are responded & resolved within the stipulated Turn Around Time

·Ensure all necessary reconciliations and AR Sales Adjustments are done by the team

·Ensure timely review of work files, and follow-up on outstanding issues and actionable items

·Establish process for conducting periodic performance reviews

·Develop understanding of the internal systems and business transactions that impact accounts

·Partner with Finance contact(s) to review account reconciliations and provide assistance and guidance in recording accounting transactions where necessary.

·Participate in external and internal audits on an as needed basis to provide supporting documentation, knowledge about underling processes, analysis, etc.

·Develop a clear understanding of the business transactions and processes to aid daily procedures and to provide value added advice to Finance contact(s)

·Work with Accounts Payable or other financial functions to resolve issues in a timely manner.

·Develop inter company financial documentation as required and reflect these transactions on the G/L ledger.

·Maintains the fixed asset in they system by supervising the recording of all items in the inventory, maintaining pertinent records and ensuring adequate treatment of fixed asset acquisitions and retirements.

Report to APSSC Finance Accounting Services Team Lead

Experience/Knowledge Required:

·Accounting / Commerce / Business Bachelor's Degree or above

·At least four to five years experience in financial accounting field, with some of that in a supervisory role; Good Finance and Accounting acumen;

·Great English oral and written command; Japanese language skills are optional but are assets

·PC Skills (Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook); Strong knowledge of SAP or equivalent is preferred

·Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire people and obtain results through others

·Strong organizational skills, with ability to handle critical tasks within tight time constraints

·Management Skills and Analytical Skills
