Solutions-Mainframe / Cobol-Team Lead-Japanese Speaking Job

Key responsibilities may include:

· Planning, analyzing and defining high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise and an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry

· Supervising the design and implementation of analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology

· Implementing or supervising the implementation of the technical infrastructure, including networks, platforms and servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security and operations management

· Integrating technical and application components to meet business requirements

· Designing the framework of a technical infrastructure, including network, platforms and servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security and operations management

· Assisting in researching potential vendors of software applications that meet specified requirements

· Supervising the designing, coding and testing of program modules that meet design specifications

· Supervising the maintenance, repair and tuning of applications in order to keep them performing according to technical and functional specifications; directing user support activities; managing preventive maintenance activities

· Overseeing the creation, execution and documentation of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance requirements (technical, functional and user interface)

· Supervising identification of configuration changes to applications so that they meet business process requirements

· Leading team in implementing all actions required to deploy an application; ensuring that the application meets both technical and business needs

· Recommending efforts in defining characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to describe the required functionality of a system, software application, network, training course, user interface, or any other technology or product

· Assisting in identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project and operational risks

· Assisting in utilizing efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve the quality of processes, products and services

· Assisting in determining resource status and needs, and assisting in deploying resources to ensure organizational goals are met

· Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area

· Mandatory Skills (technology/versions)

· Strong Japanese Capability: Certified J2 or above

· Experienced in application designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing;

· Familiar with Relational Database System, COBOL, AS400, CLP;

· Good understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) processes;

· Good oral/written English communication skills and client/user interactions skills are mandatory.

· 3-7 years IT working experience

· Life insurance experience is preferred

· Be able to lead a team of at least 4 people

· Experience in leading a development or maintenance team
