Our department…
As part of Management Consulting, the Finance & Performance Management ("F&PM") business line operates across industries to tackle issues of importance to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), helping him to transform the finance function, using best practices in finance management to achieve improved business performance and creating world-class finance capabilities.
We are around 50 people in Belux dedicated to support our clients identify and implement value-added opportunities, F&PM consultants rely on a variety of offerings, covering:
Corporate Finance - to align the finance function with the strategic objectives of the organization
Enterprise Performance Management - to analyze the performance of the organization and create substantial shareholder value
Finance Operations Optimization - to increase operating efficiencies, improve service and drive cost reductions
Financial Risk Management - to transform the isolated risk management functions into an enterprise-wide strategic scope
Your role…
With deep specialist knowledge in business, industry, functional and technical areas, management consultants are responsible for designing, building and delivering high value solutions that help our clients move forward in every part of their business, from strategic planning to day-to-day operations.
As a member of the F&PM team, you could help deliver high performance by:
· exploring sources of shareholder value creation;
· identifying and creatively solving complex problems for the CFO;
· designing/re-engineering critical financial processes;
· transforming fundamentally the way the finance organization operates;
· advising on value-added financial technology.
-> As an F&PM Consultant , your responsibilities may include:
Perform business case analysis by running interviews, questionnaires, workshops;
Assist in industry, competitive and company analyses (strategic, financial, operational) as well as market research for benchmarking;
Analyze and document process flows;
Gather and document business requirements;
Analyze and document 'as-is' capabilities in terms of Strategy, Processes, People, and Technology;
Develop new opportunities to partner with clients to resolve finance issues;
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues;
Coach analysts and foster an active learning environment
Develop client proposals;
-> As an F&PM Manager , your responsibilities may include:
Take ownership for key project deliverables such as business case, administration/ procedural guides and training materials;
Manage a work stream and determine the work stream approach, timeline and resource requirements;
Understand client requirements and design a solution that meets their needs;
Manage client relationships from functional line management to C-level;
Supervise business diagnosis and planning activities;
Supervise implementation of business solutions;
Advise on and support change management (communications, training)
Coach junior team members and foster an active learning environment;
Identify new opportunities to partner with clients to resolve finance issues;
Lead client proposals;
Participate actively in Accenture's expert networks and Communities of Practice to develop thought-capital focused on finance.
"Must Have" Qualifications
A university degree from a leading business school;
Minimum 3-8 years of experience in a F&PM environment, for example:
Finance management;
Audit;
Controlling;
Finance consulting;
Treasury;
Financial risk management;
Financial process improvement;
Financial/Accounting Shared Service Centre or Outsourcing;
Deep quantitative and analytical skills;
Structured thinking;
Strong problem solving capability;
Result oriented;
Eagerness to grow;
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, team building and relationship building skills;
Team player;
Commercial spirit;
Flexibility to work abroad;
Effective communication in Dutch, French and English.
For the manager role:
Relevant experience in project management;
People management and coaching experience;
Strong relationship building skills, both with the team and clients;
"Nice to have" Qualifications
Previous management consulting experience;
MBA from a top school;
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion or other leading package software.
