System Integration - Technical Architect Job

Technical Architects are responsible for designing and developing the technical architectures and environments for custom-built software systems in large-scale, complex programs that combine processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance.

Responsibilities

·Designing and documenting the overall system architecture for a large heterogeneous software system that includes multiple software applications and their interoperation

·Establishing system-wide architectural, design, and implementation guidelines and practices

·Participating in enforcing agreed standards, guidelines, and principles, through automated tools, assessments, and reviews

·Overall responsibility for the quality of the system and its conformance to agreed constraints

·Close cooperation with the project manager, team members, clients representatives and other technical personnel and stakeholders

·Supporting sales and proposal work, including technical design and work effort estimation

Depending on your experience and interests you may specialize into

·development environment and development process architectures (development and testing processes and toolsets)

·application execution architectures (J2EE or .Net platforms and application server products and supporting library stacks such as Hibernate, Spring and others)

·integration architectures (EAI/SOA tools and solutions)

·data architectures (Oracle/DB2 and other database solutions)

·mobile architectures (enterprise or custom mobile solutions on Symbian and other mobile platforms)

·operations architectures (systems management and monitoring solutions)

·Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or other relevant studies

·A few years of experience with broad software system architecture responsibilities in one or more areas listed above.

·Broad technology understanding also outside own area of specialization

·Hands on systems development experience

·Deep skills in development and delivery methods, component-based development and project management. Working knowledge in agile, RUP or equivalent methodologies and project processes is an asset.

·Knowledge of Java EE/.Net and of common architectural patterns, frameworks, and libraries such as, e.g., Spring, Hibernate, MVC, layering, abstraction, interfaces, etc

·Knowledge of software, integration, data, mobile and enterprise architecture design patterns as per your area of specialization

·Experience with documenting software architectures using UML diagram types

·Knowledge of modern development tools and techniques such as Eclipse, test-driven development, continuous integration, and metrics tools

·Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in Finnish and English
