Accenture is looking for talented technologists to join our cutting edge Capital Markets Solutions Group as Technical Consultants. The Capital Markets Solutions Group delivers state-of-the art custom trading system applications, risk management systems and other technologies for the world's leading banks, electronic exchanges, asset management firms, hedge funds, insurance companies and other financial services institutions. The unit was formed when Accenture acquired Random Walk Computing on July 17, 2006.

Responsibilities may include:
As a Technical Consultant, you will work on projects with deep, challenging technical issues arising in distributed financial systems. You'll use current commercial and open source tools and protocols to solve real business problems, not create vaporware. The custom technologies you develop will help balance features, performance, transactional integrity, audit/security, data quality and maintainability with time-to-market and cost considerations.
Typical projects may include the development of custom trading systems, financial instrument exchanges, client-facing applications and middle and back office systems. Because our projects are on the leading edge of finance and technology, there's plenty of excitement and the opportunity to learn and develop.
The Technical Consultant position is available in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA and San Francisco, CA and may require up to 100%.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Engineering (any type), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline with technology focus desired
3 years of experience with object-oriented design and development utilizing Java/J2EE and/or .NET and/or C++ and/or C# technologies
3 years of work experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, or other similar position with technical focus, application development or architecture experience in a Capital Markets- Financial Services environment

Preferred Skills

Experience designing and developing capital markets/financial applications including trading systems, risk analysis applications or equity/fixed income applications, etc.
1 year of experience with database technologies including Oracle, Sybase and/or SQL Server
Experience with messaging - tools, middleware, protocols, etc. desired
Exposure to a variety of distributed computing technologies
Basic project management experience
