The Consulting workforce is made up of three groups: Management Consulting, Systems Integration Consulting and Technology Consulting. This consulting group structure provides outstanding opportunities to develop highly specialized skills that will help you advance your career.
Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration business.
IT Strategy & Transformation professionals create strategies and plans that define how information technology should be utilized to support an organization's overall business strategy. They apply knowledge of standards and best practices to define governance, organization structure and staffing, architecture and processes for managing portfolios of projects. They maintain knowledge of evolving trends in IT strategy and management and apply those to develop innovative business solutions. Enterprise Architecture professionals apply Accenture and other methods and standards to define current and future enterprise architecture -- the current and desired relationships among business and management processes and an organization's IT software, hardware, networks, people and operations.
Key responsibilities may include:
· Driving, supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment activities
· Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis
· Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
· Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
· Reviewing and supervising design components
· Developing design and transition approaches
· Driving and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities
· Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development
· Experience in Architecture Planning, Application Portfolio Optimization, Architecture Governance, High-Level Architecture Design, Business Value of SOA
· Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major technologies - both legary and emerging
· Understanding of business parameters and drivers
· Good understanding of Business Case Development
· Demonstrated mastery of the 'technology stack' from infrastructure thru business logic and applications
· Familiarity with CIO Agenda offerings
· Experience working with CTO/CIO
· At least one deep technology skill (infra, networks, applications, EAI, BI, security, etc.)
· Enterprise Architecture Tools such as Popkin, Meta and Troux
· Familiarity with IT Strategy process
· Ability to set own direction and leverage subgroup skills and capital to convert initial engagements into major delivery opportunities
· Ability to meet travel 75% to 100% of the time
