Job specification

Business Intelligence professionals focus on collecting and analyzing internal and external data to generate knowledge and value for the organization. These individuals have skills in developing business analytics and management insight solutions using data warehouses and data mining tools and their work includes business process decision support at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels.

Responsibilities

·Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Mart development, from strategy and planning to design, build, test, deploy

·CRM/eCRM Analytics and Data Mining projects

·End-user focused BI development (enterprise reporting, querying, scorecarding, dashboarding) from requirements gathering to design, build, test, deploy

·Data interface development using one of the below mentioned ETL, Data Cleansing, or possibly EAI tools

·Defining and implementing data and metadata management and governance tools and processes

·Demanding roles involving analytical and creative thought, advising clients

Requirements

University degree

1 to 4 years of experience with hands-on delivery or involvement in large IT projects

Experience with database and business intelligence / data warehouse applications

Experience with some/all of the following: datawarehouse modelling, physical implementation and operations architecture

Understanding of DW/BI technical architecture / frameworks

Eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Knowledge of Czech and English required

Following skills are highly appreciated

ETL and Data Cleansing : Informatica, Ascential DataStage, BusinessObjects Data Integrator, AbInitio, Trillium

OLAP and Reporting : BusinessObjects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Hyperion , Microsoft BI (including ProClarity), Information Builders

Data Modelling : relational, star-schema, snowflake-schema, and modeling tools such as Erwin and PowerDesigner. Knowledge of domain specific logical models is a plus

Data Warehouse and Metadata Management: SAP BW, Kalido, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB)

Database Management Systems : Teradata, IBM DB2 UDB, Oracle, Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, DataAllegro

Knowledge of evolving and established DW architecture, such as Operational Data Store (ODS), Federated architectures, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), including architectures for real time and operational data warehousing
