Data Center Operations- Tools Enablement- Analyst- Location Negotiable Job

Accenture Technology Consulting (ATC) falls within the SI&T organization and provides services aimed at improving the strategic intent, transforming economics and effectiveness, and the overall design, of a company's information technology capabilities and/or functions. Information technology capabilities include IT planning and management, IT processes and approaches, and IT assets that provide the operational components necessary to run applications.
Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration business. Technology Infrastructure professionals focus on the technology foundation required to enable enterprise/agency-wide applications such as e-mail, voice mail, messaging, security, and database software (for functionally specific applications). These individuals have skills in hardware, common carrier bandwidth, onsite communications equipment, storage, and related software. Data Center Technology & Operations professionals focus on storage, database technologies, platform technologies, operating systems, event/fault monitoring, backup/recovery, problem management, service desk, change management and operations gap assessments.
Specific to Data Center Technologies, individuals will take a holistic approach to consolidating and optimizing sophisticated data center environments, including physical data center facilities and critical infrastructure components including servers, enterprise storage, database and predictive operations environments. For Data Center Operations, individuals will focus on the design and implementation of tools for IT Services and Operations
Key Responsibilities may include:
Candidates will demonstrate skills in enabling tools for ITIL based technologies with a technical focus on availability of business applications, operating systems, and server/storage hardware. The individual should also demonstrate business effectiveness skills such as establishing roadmaps for deploying tools for maintaining optimal IT service. This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities; however generally this position will focus on designing and delivering technical solutions such as but not limited to IT Discovery solutions, Configuration Management solutions, IT Asset Management solutions, IT Monitoring solutions, IT Service Desk solutions and Business Process monitoring solutions. Candidates will demonstrate skills in IT operations with a technical focus the tools and technical solutions which enable IT Operations. The individual should also demonstrate technical acumen to design relevant and efficient solutions to meet client goals and align with industry best practices. The candidate should have a good understanding of ITIL V3.
During client engagements responsibilities will include assisting with scoping, pricing and identifying resources supporting the Accenture client partner.
Candidate should demonstrate experience in the following areas:
· Designing and implementing ITIL and Operational tools
· Enablement of Operational Tools for large scale ERP and CRM deployments
· Implementing systems management solutions to deliver client value
· Assist in the designing of support for scalable server architectures for critical business systems
· Some experience in project management and detailed technical planning
· Generating detailed documentation
Basic
· Minimum of 1 year experience with ITIL oriented (operational or service management) tools- service desk, change, availability, and/or performance monitoring management.
· Minimum of 1 year experience with enablement of tools for Operational Readiness and Capability Delivery- monitoring and batch scheduling ( CA, BMC, HP, or Tivoli)
· Minimum Bachelor's Degree
· Experience in one or more of the following areas:
· Tool and Software enablement for IT Services and Operations
· CA, BMC, HP, and Tivoli tool suites
· P roduction Scheduling, Output/Print Management
· Service Desk design and deployment
· Network/Systems Operations, Operations Architecture Management, Network Addressing Management
· Storage Management, Backup/Restore Management, Archiving
· Event/Fault Management, System Performance Management
· Migration Control
· Hardware Performance/Optimization
· Vendor Management
· Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for deployment of IT Service enabling tools
· Tool enablement based on Capacity Modeling & Planning
· High Availability Planning
· Disaster Recovery tool enablement
· Understanding of Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management
· Ability to utilize PowerPoint in proposal development
· Ability to produce documentation utilizing the MS Office Suite
· Broad understanding of ITIL V3 and its components
