SAP FI/CO Team Lead

Reading

Up to £45,000 plus excellent benefits

Job Purpose:

Based in Reading on client site, the Finance support lead will be responsible managing the SAP Finance support team. This includes supporting the existing solution within contractual SLAs as well as designing and implementing new requirements as they arise together with the other Finance team members.

This role would suit a candidate with sound implementation and/or support experience in the modules of FI, CO and JV. Also previous business roles in financial or managerial accounting or any qualification in that field are advantageous.

The ultimate aim will be to establish and maintain an excellent working relationship between Accenture and the client's Finance department by demonstrating expertise in the SAP system, knowledge of the business processes and understanding of possible future requirements.

Responsibilities:

Service Scope

Ensure that all Finance related call types are resolved according to the agreed SLA levels

Identify major incidents requiring urgent attention and escalate accordingly

Identify and communicate to AMG Finance team lead potential service Improvement activities

Responsibilities

Ensure that calls are prioritised and solved according to SLA targets

Manage both onshore and offshore Finance support team members

Mentor more junior team members to build their skills and confidence

Update documentation repository and call handling system to reflect changes made during call resolution

Work closely with the customer to identify possible improvements to existing design and suggest appropriate solutions

Provide knowledge, expertise and guidance to the customer in order that potential for new work is seized upon

Provide expert input into the design and implementation of new additions or improvements to existing solution

Liaise with customer and provide accurate estimate of work involved when required

Identify and make the customer aware of any changes which may impact overseas sites and resolve appropriately

Create detailed functional and technical designs that meet user requirements to facilitate onshore/offshore ABAP work

Liaise with offshore functional and technical resources to ensure accurate and timely delivery

Provide guidance to business users to ensure that thorough testing is carried in resolving all call types

Continually look at ways to improve service to customer

Leverage broader knowledge from within the firm where appropriate

Facilitate knowledge sharing within the AMG team

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

Good knowledge of SAP FI configuration through support or implementation experience

Good knowledge of SAP CO configuration through support or implementation experience

Knowledge of Joint Venture accounting (business user, support or implementation) and SAP JV module

Extensive client facing experience

Comprehensive information technology knowledge

Preferably experience in accounting practice

Planning and organising

Excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal; including good listening skills

Customer Service skills

Ability to build productive working relationships with others

Decisiveness and attention to detail

Organisational awareness

Be a trouble shooter, mediator, information gatherer, and reporter, in order to facilitate client and Accenture's needs

Excellent Presentation Skills including ability to present at senior level

Possesses the ability to cope in a pressurised environment

Possess a 'can do' attitude

Preferably CIMA or other equivalent accounting qualification

Preferably Oil and Gas industry experience

As the post requires extensive liaison with technical teams, experience of working in a technical environment will be a definite advantage.
