Job Description


Accenture Marketing Sciences (AMS), part of Accenture's Management Consulting practice, is the world's largest marketing analytics consultancy group. AMS' services and product range includes: marketing and digital strategy, marketing effectiveness and ROI optimization, pricing analytics, media analytics, media auditing, marketing intelligence solutions and a full range of analytics services for the retail industry. In summary, the focus of AMS is to help our clients maximize the value from their sales & marketing spending by applying the latest analytical and research techniques.


Position Overview

Accenture is seeking an experienced candidate to play a leading role in our retail analytics service offering for Greater China. The position will be based in Shanghai. AMS' retail analytics services include: customer analysis, customer segmentation, store clustering, product assortment optimization, floor and space planning, pricing strategy and analytics, promotion effectiveness, trade promotion management, and finally eCommerce. Candidates for this position are expected to have deep experience in this range of services within the retail industry.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The candidate's main responsibility for this role will be to support the project delivery of strategy and retail analytics projects, as well as help build and innovate our assets and services for China. This will include:

Managing project delivery and an appropriate junior support team

·
Working closely together with our analytics outsourcing teams in India and China

·
Contributing to the knowledge and service offering growth for the region

·
Helping in business development opportunities

Candidates for this position have a strong retail industry and/or business consulting background. Candidates have solid marketing and retail analytical experience, as well as extensive retail industry experience in APAC and preferably in the Greater China region (either through an industry position or from a services/ consulting perspective). The following experience is required for this role:

· Undergraduate or preferably Graduate degree from reputable institution

· Minimum 3 years retail industry or relevant consulting experience

· Fluency in both Mandarin and English

· Practical and professional experience in applied analytics within retail, marketing or sales

· Extensive leadership and project management experience

· Extensive industry experience in Greater China

· Excellent communications skills (including written and spoken English and Mandarin)

· Willingness to travel extensively (within Asia Pacific)

Additional Desirable Experience

· Practical and professional experience in applied customer analytics, statistics and econometrics, and practical experience with data analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, KXEN…etc.

· Good knowledge or implementation experience with popular merchandising management systems such as Retek/Oracle, JDA, DemandTek, khi Metrics, SAP, KSS…etc/
