Job Description

A Software Engineer contributes to the development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. Software Engineer is skilled in coding, testing, designing, and implementation of configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities may include:

Contributing to planning/analyzing high-level software strategies & solutions through functional/technical expertise

Designing/implementing analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology

·
Leading the implementation of the technical infrastructure, including networks, platforms & servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security & operations management

·
Integrating technical & application components to meet business requirements

·
Participating in designing the framework of a technical infrastructure, including network, platforms & servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security & operations management

·
Maintaining, tuning & repairing applications to keep them performing according to technical/functional specifications; performing preventive maintenance activities; providing user support

·
Creating, executing & documenting tests necessary to ensure an application or technical environment meets performance requirements

·
Participating in implementing all actions required to deploy an application; assisting in ensuring the application meets technical and business needs

·
Defining characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, & results necessary to describe required functionality of system, software application, network, training course, user interface or any other technology or product

·
Assisting in identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project and operational risks

Qualification:

· Education: BS

· Experience: 1-2 years

Mandatory Skills:

·
(technology/versions), Programming language - .JAVA

·
Development environment -JAVA

· Development using an RDBMS - Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB

· U nderstanding of principles of the software development lifecycle

Preferable Skills:

· Experience on working on medium to large-scale system developments and/or system integration projects

· Understanding of application server/TP monitor principles - Web Logic, Web Sphere, MTS, CICS

· Good written and verbal Japanese
