Job Title: Financial Assistant
Salary: £20,000 to £23,000 plus exceptional benefits

Purpose of Job

To generate and process General Ledger Journals for various Thomas Cook Companies.

To reconcile named Balance Sheet accounts.

To produce and analyse the Monthly Management and Financial Accounts for named Thomas Cook Companies.

To deliver Management and Financial reporting within agreed timeframes whilst complying with generally accepted accounting standards, statutory requirements and Client guidelines.


Main Accountabilities

Responsible for:

Financial and management reporting for Thomas Cook at Business Unit level.

Liaison with BU finance teams, providing detailed financial analysis and supporting the process of problem resolution

Supervision of 1 team member to ensure all reporting related issues are resolved to a satisfactory conclusion

Generate and Process monthly GL journals

Production of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations to a high level of accuracy

Produce monthly & annual financial accounts
Ad hoc analysis requirements

Skills, knowledge & experience

Qualified Accountant AAT or Part Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA.

Strong interpersonal skills to deal with senior management and team members.

Creative approach to the development of analysis and review processes and in the presentation/reporting of management information.

PC literate, MS Excel essential, SAP & Hyperion experience useful
