		<title>Payroll Coordinator Job (Melbourne, Australia)</title>

We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. <br/><br/><h5>Job Description</h5>  <br/><br/>The Payroll Co-ordinator's primary responsibility is to assist with the effective management of all client payroll activities, including the preparation of all payroll amendments and ensuring salary and non salary benefits are administered and disbursed accordingly.  The Payroll Co-ordinator is the primary point of contact for payroll and employment conditions enquiries and the provision of advice to staff and managers of the client groups. <br/><br/>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:  <br/><br/>·Input and validate all payroll data, generate and reconcile payroll reports.<br/><br/>·Distribute salaries and disbursements to the clients' designated site for banking institution, superannuation funds and other nominated agencies.  Assist with the administration of Superannuation benefits.<br/><br/>·Assist with the running of the end to end payroll process for on and off cycles.<br/><br/>·Manage the salary packaging of the payroll processes (including novated leases, relocation expenses, living away from home, etc.).<br/><br/>·Provide comprehensive advice to management and staff of the client group and respond to all payroll enquiries via the help desk.  Log and track all client contact via CRM ensuring service level timeframes are met.<br/><br/>·Ensure payroll input data validation and maintain/develop verification systems, enuring the payroll system complies with all legislative and award workplace agreements<br/><br/>·Ensure compliance with all audit requirements including the maintenance of procedures, record keeping, adequate authorisations and audit trails.  Administer reconciliations procedures and audit system control regularly.<br/><br/>·Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures for payroll processes, including checklists and manuals.<br/><br/>·Prepare standard correspondence associated with payroll matters.<br/><br/>·Preparation of payroll reports including; service management, standard payroll, fortnightly and monthly reports, ABS reports, end of year reports, payment summaries, payroll tax, FBT and ad hoc reports as required.<br/><br/>·Assist with the end of year reconciliation process including production and distribution of payment summaries and provision and provision of data for end of year reporting.<br/><br/>·Participate in and provide information for regular client audits.<br/><br/>·Contribute to knowledge capital and share best practices with team members.<br/><br/>·Take responsibility for continuous improvement activities to payroll processes and service delivery.<br/><br/>·Participate in team-based activities and projects as required.<br/><br/>OTHER FEATURES OF THE JOB (e.g., location, travelling, shift hours, etc.):  <br/><br/>·The position is located in Melbourne -  360 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.<br/><br/>·Some interstate travel may be required.<br/><br/>·Spread of business hours is 8:30 am - 6:30 pm, worked as a rotating 8 hour roster.<br/><br/>·Some out of hours work may also be required.<br/><br/>·All new staff require a police check prior to commencement.<br/><br/>·Experience in the use of payroll systems.  Experience with the chris system an advantage.<br/><br/>·Demonstrated experience in payroll operations, maintenance and reporting.<br/><br/>·Demonstrated experience in the provision of superior customer service together with strong interpersonal skills.<br/><br/>·Well developed organisation skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads and work autonomously.<br/><br/>·High level skills in spreadsheet applications.
