The Oracle DBA Consultant role falls within our Data Center Technology practice.

Key Responsibilities may include:

* Define standards for the operating system (OS) and Oracle environment
* Install Oracle software for OS and PC environments
* Create new databases and table spaces
* Install and manage SQL*Net configuration for UNIX and PC environments
* Perform release upgrades for existing databases
* Define and implement backup and recovery strategies in line with the needs of each client/project
* Monitor system resource usage (disk, memory, CPU, IO) in conjunction with System Administrators group
* For production as well as development and QA, monitor and tune SGA, etc.
* System programming (Shell and SQL) to automate database backup, monitoring and other DBA functions
* Define standards/guidelines for using roles, DB links, etc. in conjunction with project DBAs
